How much does it cost to carpet a house in NZ?
It depends mostly on the carpet you choose, which is priced per square metre, plus underlay, stairs and floor preparation. For a typical three-bedroom home, the carpet itself makes the biggest difference. We measure up and give you a free, itemised quote so you can compare options.
How long does carpet installation take?
It depends on the area, the number of rooms and stairs, and any floor preparation. We'll give you a timeframe with your quote.
Can carpet be laid on stairs or on concrete?
Yes, both can be carpeted. Stairs take more time and material than open floor. Concrete needs to be dry and level, so we check it before laying.
What underlay do I need?
It depends on the room. Firmer, denser underlay suits hallways, stairs and lounges, and softer underlay suits bedrooms. Thicker isn't always better, because density matters more than thickness. We'll recommend one for each room.
How much does it cost to carpet a garage in NZ?

Can burns or pet damage be repaired invisibly?

Is wool or nylon carpet better?
Both suit different homes. Wool is natural, resilient and warm underfoot, and naturally flame-resistant, but it usually costs more. Nylon is very hard-wearing and many nylons resist stains well, which suits busy homes with children and pets. We'll talk through the options when we measure up.
Is it cheaper to repair or replace carpet?
For damage in one area, such as a burn, pet damage or a lifting seam, a repair is usually far cheaper than new carpet. Replacement makes more sense when the carpet is worn throughout or the damage is widespread. Send us a photo and we'll tell you honestly which makes sense.
