Stain removal

Professional Carpet Stain Removal, Backed by a Guarantee

Most DIY stain removal is a quick spray and a hopeful scrub. Our carpet stain removal in Hamilton starts by working out what the stain is, because coffee, urine, oil and rust all need different chemistry. Then we treat it at the source and rinse the residue out, so it doesn't return.

Send a photo of the stain and we'll tell you honestly what we expect to achieve, before you book.

Our guarantee

Our Stain Guarantee: Same Stain Will Never Come Back

Stains that "come back" a few days after a clean are usually wicking. Residue left deep in the backing or underlay rises as the carpet dries and reappears on the surface. Shop-bought sprays and hire machines often cause exactly this.

We treat the stain all the way down and extract what's left. That's why we can promise the same stain will never come back.

Stain guarantee

Same stain will never come back.

Pet stains and odour

Pet Stains and Urine Odour Removal

Pet urine is the stain people most often think is gone when it isn't. It soaks through the pile into the backing and underlay, dries into salts, and the smell comes back every time the room gets warm or damp.

Surface cleaning and fragrance sprays only mask it. We work out where the urine has spread, treat it at the source to break it down, then extract it so the stain and the smell go together.

  • Dog and cat urine on carpet, including old and repeated accidents
  • Vomit and other pet accidents
  • Urine smell in couches and sofas, with upholstery cleaning
  • Pre-sale and end-of-tenancy pet odour, so the house smells neutral for buyers or inspectors
"Well done guys. My carpets look great and no more dog odour or dog hairs. Fairly priced and on time. I ll be calling you back in future and recommend to my friends and family."

DIY fixes

Why Shop-Bought Stain Removers Often Make It Worse

Most people try a DIY fix first. It's often the reason a stain becomes permanent.

  • Rubbingspreads the stain and frays the fibres, leaving a fuzzy, lighter patch.
  • Residue attracts dirt. Many sprays leave a sticky film, so a dark ring forms around the spot.
  • The wrong chemistry sets the stain.Hot water can lock in protein stains like blood and urine. Bleaching products can strip colour from wool for good.
  • Too much liquidpushes the stain deeper, into the backing and underlay, where it wicks back up later.

If you've already tried something, don't worry. Tell us what you used, and we'll take it into account.

How it works

Our Carpet Stain Treatment Process

  1. Identify

We check the fibre and work out the stain type, its age and anything already used on it.

  2. Test

We test our treatment on a hidden spot so it's safe for your carpet's fibre and colour.

  3. Treat

A treatment matched to the stain breaks it down, working right through the pile and backing.

  4. Rinse and extract

We flush out the stain and all residue, then check the result with you before we leave.

Old stains

Old, Set-In Stains and What Isn't a Stain

Old stains often look hopeless but can usually be removed or greatly improved. Set-in coffee, tea and pet stains are some of our most satisfying jobs.

Some marks aren't stains at all. Bleach spots and sun fading are colour that has been removed from the fibre, and burns are melted fibre, so no cleaning can bring them back. For those, a carpet repair or patch is the honest fix, and we can do that too.

Does steam cleaning remove stains?
It removes many everyday marks, but not all. Stubborn stains like coffee, wine, urine and rust need a treatment matched to the stain before extraction. Steam cleaning alone can even set some protein stains.
How do you get old or stubborn stains out of carpet?
Old and stubborn stains need a treatment matched to the stain type, worked through the pile and backing, then rinsed and extracted. Many set-in stains can be removed or greatly lightened. Send us a photo and we'll tell you honestly what to expect before you book.
What if the stain comes back?
Our promise is that the same stain will never come back. Ask us how the guarantee applies to your stain when you book.
Is stain treatment safe for pets and children?
Yes. Keep pets and children off the area while it's damp. Once it's dry, the room is ready to use as normal.
Why do shop-bought stain removers make stains worse?
They often leave sticky residue that attracts dirt, and the wrong chemistry or too much water can set the stain or push it into the underlay. Rubbing also damages the fibres.
Can you remove pet urine smell, not just the stain?
Yes. We treat urine where it has soaked into the backing and underlay, which is where the smell comes from. Surface cleaning alone won't stop it returning.
Do vinegar and baking soda remove old carpet stains?
They can help with fresh, light marks, but they rarely shift old, set-in stains. Too much liquid can spread the stain or push it into the underlay, and vinegar can affect some dyes, so test a hidden spot first. For stains that won't budge, professional treatment is the safer option.
